Bodegas Virgen del Galir Maruxa Mencía Spain Red Wine is from Valdeorras, made from Mencía. It is well suited for casual dinners, relaxed gatherings and sharing over a meal, and pairs well with grilled meats, charcuterie, roast poultry and mushroom dishes.

History of the Wine
The wine takes its name from Maruxa, the Galician form of María and the name of the winery founder's mother. It was created as Virgen del Galir's red village wine from Éntoma, bringing together small vineyard parcels and different soils facing the Galir and Sil rivers. These vineyards range from around 350 to 800 metres in altitude, allowing the wine to express the varied landscape of Éntoma through a fresh, lighter expression of Valdeorras red wine.
