La Val was founded in 1985 in O Rosal, Galicia, and is one of the historic pioneers of the Rías Baixas wine region. From its beginnings, the winery played an important role in the development of Albariño and later became one of the driving forces behind the creation of the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin in 1988.

As the estate expanded, La Val moved to Finca Arantei in Salvaterra de Miño, where its vineyards are located along the River Miño. Today, the winery works with more than 90 hectares of vineyards and focuses on native Galician grape varieties, particularly Albariño, alongside Treixadura and Loureiro.

La Val places strong emphasis on vineyard identity and regional character, producing wines that reflect the varied soils and conditions found across Rías Baixas. In 2023, the winery became part of CVNE, bringing its long established Albariño heritage into the wider group while maintaining its distinct Galician identity.

Today, La Val continues to represent the freshness, character and winemaking tradition of Rías Baixas through wines shaped by native grape varieties, estate vineyards and a close connection to the landscape of Galicia.
