Imperial Rioja Gran Reserva Spain Red Wine is from Rioja Alta, made from Tempranillo,Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha. It is well suited for dinner parties, special occasions and sharing over a meal, and pairs well with roasted red meats, lamb, game and mature cheeses.

History of the Wine
The wine traces its origins to the 1920s, when Imperial was first produced by CVNE as a classic expression of Rioja and developed into one of the house's most recognised wines. Imperial Gran Reserva is reserved for selected vintages, drawing on some of CVNE's finest Rioja Alta vineyards and undergoing careful grape selection both in the vineyard and at the winery. Its traditional approach continues through extended ageing in French and American oak followed by further maturation in bottle within CVNE's historic cellars in Haro.
