Founded in 1950, the Ruggeri winery produces its sparkling wines from grapes grown in the magnificent hills of Valdobbiadene, known for producing the highest quality grapes in the entire Prosecco Superior DOCG area. This is also the location of the prized Cartizze hill, the most famous cru in the entire area. The constant pursuit of quality has made Ruggeri one of the most important producers of Cartizze sparkling wine.
Ruggeri was the first winery to produce a Prosecco using only grapes from 100-year-old vines and has earned a special classification called “Stella” as a result of earning 10 or more Tre Bicchieri –the highest award a winery can receive in Italy.
