History of the Wine
First released from the 1981 vintage, Paul Sauer is named after a former patriarch of the Kanonkop estate. The wine has become one of the estate’s signature expressions, produced from vineyards on the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch. That background forms an important part of the wine's individual story.
