History of the Wine
Celler Cal Pla is based in Porrera, Priorat, where the Sangenís family has a long history of grape growing. In 1996, Joan Sangenís began bottling wines under the family’s own Celler Cal Pla label, drawing on vineyards planted on Priorat’s distinctive llicorella slate soils. That background forms an important part of the wine's individual story.
