History of the Wine
The wine was first produced in 1982, when La Spinetta expanded beyond Moscato and began working seriously with red grapes. Cà di Pian became the estate's first Barbera and an early step in the development of its Piedmont red-wine range. This places the wine within a clearly defined part of the producer's range.
