Master of Wine Tan Ying Hsien recently had the pleasure of tasting a beautiful range of Philipponnat Champagnes with Charles Philipponnat, following a fascinating 2025 vins clairs tasting session with Chef de Caves Thierry Garnier and Export Director Thomas Jorez.
The tasting showcased several standout cuvées, including the 2019 Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs, both noted for their remarkable precision and freshness. The 2015 and 2016 Clos des Goisses also impressed greatly, offering power, complexity, and a deep expression of this legendary single vineyard.
The 2025 vins clairs were described as highly promising, showing richness, balance, and strong structure for graceful long-term aging.
A wonderful glimpse into the future of this iconic Champagne house. 🥂
