Biondi Pianta Etna Bianco 2021

Ciro Biondi Pianta Etna Bianco 2021 is a white wine from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily — built mostly from the indigenous Carricante grape, with small additions of local varieties.

It pours a pale straw-yellow (with a greenish tint) and presents a delicate, mineral-tinged bouquet of white flowers, green apple or stone-fruit, and subtle flinty or wet-stone notes — a signature of Etna’s volcanic terroir. On the palate the wine is fresh and elegant, with balanced acidity, a mineral core, and flavors of citrus, white peach, herbs, and a refined herbal-fruity complexity. 

Overall, it’s a crisp, terroir-driven white — mineral and vibrant yet gentle and expressive — that works especially well with seafood, shellfish or light Mediterranean dishes.
