Aperture SJ Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 is a single-vineyard Cabernet from the top of Chalk Hill in the Alexander Valley (Sonoma), grown on volcanic-loam soils and aged 20 months (in 50% new French oak).
On the nose, expect aromas of wild berries and cassis, lifted by subtle floral notes that hint at fresh flowers. On the palate it’s smooth and rich, with dense dark fruit — think blackberry or blackcurrant — supported by a firm structure, silky-ripe tannins, and a mineral undertone reflecting its volcanic terroir.
